Jens Kirk Dept. of Culture and Global Studies The Course: Modulet ”Tekst- og litteraturhistorie i de engelsksprogede lande”   Modulets placering: 2. og 3. semester.   Modulets omfang: 5 ECTS-point.   Modulet omfatter: introduktion til den britiske, amerikanske og postkoloniale tekst- og litteraturhistorie. tekstanalyse og tekstanalytiske metoder litteraturvidenskabelige metoder.   Tilrettelæggelse:   Modulet tilrettelægges som et kursusforløb over 2. og 3. semester, hvor den studerende udarbejder skriftlige opgaver og/eller mundtlige oplæg. På 2. semester indgår kurset endvidere i modulet Tekstanalyse.

Jens Kirk Dept. of Culture and Global Studies   Mål: Når modulet er afsluttet, skal den studerende kunne demonstrere:   Viden Litteraturhistorisk grundviden Forståelse af forskellige genrers og teksttypers karakteristika Forståelse af teksters periodetilhørsforhold.   Færdigheder Færdighed i tekstanalytiske metoder med særlig vægt på tema-, forløbs- og udsigelsesanalyse og analyse af retoriske virkemidler Færdighed i at analysere enkelttekster med særlig vægt på stilistiske/tematiske periodespecifikke træk.   Kompetencer Evne til at reflektere over, hvordan tekster fungerer kommunikativt og udsigelsesmæssigt Evne til at reflektere over forholdet mellem tekster og deres kulturelle forankring.

Jens Kirk Dept. of Culture and Global Studies The Exam   En ekstern skriftlig prøve på engelsk i: Tekst- og litteraturhistorie i de engelsksprogede lande (Literary History in the English-Speaking World)). Prøven har form af en bunden skriftlig hjemmeopgave. Hjemmeopgaven må højst være på 6 sider.   Bedømmelsesform: En karakter efter 7-trinsskalaen.   Omfang: 5 ECTS-point.   Besvarelsen skal demonstrere de læringsmål, som er angivet i modulbeskrivelsen ovenfor.   Ved bedømmelsen af prøvepræstationen vil der med henblik på opnåelse af karakteren 12 blive lagt vægt på, at den studerende demonstrerer en udtømmende opfyldelse af fagets mål med ingen eller få uvæsentlige mangler.
