Grønlands Naturinstitut Hvordan påvirker klimaændringer de marine økosystemer og dermed fiskerinæringen? Tromsø 23. oktober 2012 In greenland we have ”a mother of the sea”. She live on the bottom of the ocean. When humans behave badly, her punishment is to keep the animals away from the people. The animals will be entangled in her hair – until human again behave decently and until they have comb her hair. Then she will release the anmals. We have 3 biological departments: Fish and shellfish. Marine mammals and birds (including terristical animals) Climate and ecosystems Research on international standards
Greenland - and Europe Population: 56.000 West : 52.500 East: 3.500 The biological advice for certain stocks in Greenland water. The biological advice for most stocks in Greenland water is provided through international scientific co-operation within ICES and NAFO. Greenland Institute of Natural Resources is represented in scientific working groups in both NAFO and ICES. The Institute provide data from both the commercial fishery, our own surveys and Greenland’s other relevant research programs. Data from the EU-survey (German research vessel “Walter Herwig”) at West and East Greenland contribute with important information to the biological advice. Advice provided through ICES (mainly stocks on East Greenland): Greenland halibut, Redfish, Capelin, Blue whiting and Cod (West- and East-Greenland). Advice provided though NAFO (mainly stocks on West Greenland): Greenland halibut, Redfish, Roundnose grenadier, Catfish, American plaice and shrimp (West and East Greenland). The advice on Snow Crab is provided nationally, but in close co-operation with Canada. - and Europe
Fiskeri i Grønland 1950–2000

Der vil ske/der sker ændringer! Mange faktorer spiller ind Temperatur Ændring af havstrømme = ændret økosystem Fiskeritryk = ændringer i bestandssammensætning Fælles bestande – andre landes forvaltning 8 mill sæler - hvilken rolle spiller de Markeds mekanismer ingen salg i sæler MSC etc
Professor Adolf Jensen 1950: Den arktiske klimaforandringer og dens betydning særlig for Grønland
Fælles Der sker nyt ”NYE FISKERIER” - ?? ”Nye” (ændrede) fiskeri/fangstressourcer Mindre is Ændringer i udbredelse Nye udnyttelser (olie?) Nye fangstteknikker Nye fabrikker – mobile?
Pelagiske bestande makrel Forvaltningsplaner? Forskningsprogrammer Samfundsøkonomiske analyser etc etc
