6 A Case-control Study - ( Weinehall, Persson, Lindholm et.al J.Hypertens 20:2081 88.2002) 129 cases of stroke: Most important risk predictors: Poorly controlled BP ( > 140/90 mmHg)!! 1 out of 100 pts with stroke and hypertension was adequately controlled! History of Diabetes!!

9 Risikofaktorer: familiær disposition til kardiovaskulær sygdom, rygning, hyperkolesterolæmi (>6,5 mmol/l, LDL >4,5 mmol/l), mænd > 55 år, kvinder > 65 år og abdominal fedme (mænd: omfang ≥102 cm, kvinder: omfang ≥ 88 cm). Organpåvirkning: venstre ventrikelhypertrofi ved ekkokardiografi el. EKG, protenuri/microalbuminuri, forhøjet S-kreatinin og fundus hypertonicus III -IV. *: cerebrovaskulær sygdom, iskæmisk hjertesygdom, kongestiv hjerteinsufficiens og perifer vaskulær sygdom Absolut 10 års risiko for apopleksi eller myokardieinfakt: meget høj risiko (>30%), høj risiko (20-30%), middel risiko (15- 20%) og lav risiko (<15%). Risikostratificering af hypertensionspatienter.
