3 Baggrund: Kommunalt ønske om samarbejde Museets ønske om formidling til unge Ungdomsskolens ønske om større synlighed i lokalområdet

4 Mål: The aim of the project is to strengthen young people’s European identity and to promote European citizenship, creativity and intercultural learning. The project takes the participants’ mutual, intercultural reflections on the theme of combating poverty as its starting point. In an informal way the participants will learn about aspects of home, rules, food, welfare, freedom and loneliness. Through the creation of exhibitions, films and street art in multinational groups they will learn to work towards a common aim, using their linguistic, manual and aesthetic competences.

5 Et samarbejde med Svendborg Ungdomsskole støtter op omkring Forsorgsmuseets målsætning om at række ud og inkludere de unge i museets formidling. Museet og Ungdomsskolen har desuden et fælles ønske om at eksperimentere endnu mere med, hvor vide rammerne for et sådant samarbejde og partnerskab kan være. Grundtanken er, at Svendborg Ungdomsskoles unge skal føle et ejerskab for deres museum. De helt unikke og autentiske rammer og historier skal ikke kun formidles til de unge, men i langt højere grad skal de unge selv formidle historien til andre unge.

6 Indhold: Beat Poverty Hvordan kan fattigdom defineres – i nutiden og historisk? Hvornår er man fattig? Og er der forskellige former for fattigdom? Hvem er de fattige i de enkelte lande? Hvordan bekæmpes fattigdom i de forskellige lande? Og hvordan kan vi som europæiske medborgere bekæmpe fattigdom? Hvordan kan de unge selv gøre en forskel? - Både i løbet af ugen og når de vender tilbage til deres respektive hjemlande.

29 Resultater: De unges interkulturelle kompetencer er udviklet De har en fornemmelse af, hvad det vil sige at være borger i Europa De har en større forståelse af, hvad fattigdom er, og hvordan den aktivt kan bekæmpes Der er knyttet venskabsbånd Ungdomsskolen og museet er blevet synlige i lokalsamfundet Det er tydeliggjort, at to kulturinstitutioner begge kan have gavn af at samarbejde Kirkens Korshærs varmestue har modtaget kr.
