DIGHUMLAB 2.0

The DIGHUMLAB 2.0 infrastructure is coherent, multi-sited, virtual and distributed,
and will be integrated in a shared gateway:

The DIGHUMLAB 2.0 infrastructure will support cultural heritage research within the material-based and the text-based fields respectively with the following facilities and services: Geographic data analysis with GIS of archaeological datasets Access to large and complex archaeological datasets Visualisation in 3D models and motion capture of fragile archaeological objects Field-specific databases and analytical tools for cultural heritage objects, including qualitative Annotation, field-customised frontends and collaborative workspaces Large compilations of organised textual sources Generic platforms for the dissemination and digital learning of cultural heritage objects

The Social Media research infrastructure will be developed through a number of targeted projects that result in: Infrastructures for collecting and analysing assemblages, digital corpora and collections of data (governmental, civic, commercial and research purposes) The customising of existing open-source software tools to extract, analyse and visualise social media data, e.g. Gephi, Manylines, Hyphe, ANTA, Quinoa, DMI-TCAT Tools to extract and analyse data from LinkedIn, Twitter and smartphones A social media treebank for enabling large-scale studies of linguistic variation across various types of Danish social media Tools for mapping platform-mediated social controversies Crowd sourcing through mobile gaming apps to study the comprehension of sound

The DIGHUMLAB 2.0 infrastructure will support technology-enhanced learning research with the following facilities and services: Coordinated development of ontologies for technology-enhanced learning Living labs (naturalistic, mixed and artificial environments) Front-ends to existing repositories, and the development of new repository services Technologies and best practices to capture, manipulate, store and share hyper-complex, multimodal person-sensitive data combining video with new digital imaging and sensing across contexts in naturalistic, mixed and artificial environments Collaborative software tools for learning analytics and visualisation, and qualitative analysis of hyper-complex data on learning Procedures to handle new ethical and legal issues related to data tracing, archiving, sharing and analysis of person-sensitive data
